The Leo Strauss Center hosted a one-day conference on Strauss on Nietzsche at the University of Chicago on December 2, 2017, moderated by the Center’s director, Nathan Tarcov. The panel speakers were Richard Velkley (Tulane University), Mark Blitz (Claremont McKenna College), Paul Franco (Bowdoin College), and Robert Pippin (The University of Chicago). Session 1 addressed Strauss’s interpretation of Nietzsche; session 2 addressed Strauss’s stance toward Nietzsche.
